NAUVOO CITY PARK

Address: Corner of Bluff St. & Knight St, Nauvoo, IL 62354

Description: Nauvoo City Park is located at the corner of Bluff and Knight Streets. The park is a great spot to relax in the shade. In the summer there are band concerts and a variety of activities that make this a good community gathering place. It's right next to Nauvoo City Hall and the LDS Temple is directly across the street.

Amenities: Benches, tables, basketball court, playground. No restrooms available. The park is wheelchair accessible if you stay on the sidewalk, but there is no paved path to the playground.

NAUVOO PARK DISTRICT

Address: N Co Rd 700, Nauvoo, IL 62354

Description: The Nauvoo Park District is located at the corner of Winchester and Young Streets. It is a five acre park with a ball diamond, a playground, and a covered pavilion (available to rent). The locals call this the "purple park." If you visit Nauvoo in the summer you can catch a T-Ball or Baseball game here. This park is across from the historic Hyrum Smith Farm (tours not available).

Amenities: ball diamond, covered pavilion, playground (tables and benches), no restroom available unless pavilion is rented or in use. This park is not ideal for wheelchairs because there are no paved paths and the playground is on a slight hill. This park is not accessible to tour buses.

NAUVOO STATE PARK

Address: 980 S Bluff St, Nauvoo, IL 62354

Description: The Nauvoo State Park is located at Parley Street and Highway 96. This 148 acre park includes a 13 acre lake with a mile long shoreline. In addition to fishing, boating, camping, and hiking, people return to these serene surroundings for the park's recreational features, its annual grape festival, and to soak up the area's history.There are two playgrounds available at this park. The park is well-shaded and there is a pavilion (available to rent). The pavilion is wheelchair accessible. Restrooms available in the pavilion when rented or in use.
