When Visiting Nauvoo


1. Historic Homes
Most historic buildings that make up the historic sites of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were built before accessibility guidelines were created. However, site missionaries are often wlling to present relevant information outside of the homes.


2. Call and Ask
Although some locations are not accessible, Nauvoo is a small town and can often make accommodations on a case by case basis. Call and ask the location about specific accessibility accommodations.



3. Enjoy the Outdoors
The Nauvoo State Park, the Nauvoo Riverwalk Path, and the sidewalks along Main Street are wonderful accessible locations to explore.


4. Outdoor Performances
During the summer months there are many outdoor performances on Main Street that are free and easily accessible. Check with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Visitors' Center for details.
